CDI College’s Medical Laboratory Assistant/Technician diploma program equips students with the skills needed for a career in a medical laboratory. The program blends theoretical knowledge with hands-on experience in a well-equipped classroom and laboratory setting. Students will learn key scientific principles, including anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, clinical chemistry, laboratory microbiology, hematology, and immunohematology. The curriculum also covers the cardiovascular system, including ECGs and vital signs, urinalysis, specimen procurement, clinical pathology, cytology, and histology. Graduates of this program can pursue careers in various settings, such as private diagnostic labs, public health laboratories, hospital labs, outpatient departments, quality control labs, insurance companies as mobile lab technicians, veterinary labs, and medical offices.
