Practical Nurse Generic

The Discovery Community College Practical Nurse Program is designed to prepare graduates to meet or exceed the Standards of Practice and Competencies for Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) in British Columbia and the Code of Ethics, as set out by the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of British Columbia (CLPNBC).

The philosophy of this program is based on Discovery Community College’s commitment to hands-on training and graduating work-ready students. Because by immersing students in a real-life working environment, our programs better prepare them for the transition from classroom to workplace. Upon successful completion of this program, graduates will possess the knowledge, skills, behaviors, and sound clinical judgments that will enable them to practice in a professional manner.
